A premier research opportunity in the serene hills of Palampur! 🎓 CSIR-IHBT is inviting applications for Senior Project Associate (Senior PAT) roles. This is a high-level research position for PhD holders or experienced Postgraduates looking to work on cutting-edge Himalayan bioresources.
🔬 Project Vacancy Details
1. Life Sciences Project
"Stress-induced programmed cell death in plants"
Salary: ₹42,000 + HRA
Focus: Gene cloning, NGS analysis, & SNP mapping.
2. Chemistry Project
"Specialty Chemicals for Industrial Applications"
Salary: ₹42,000 + HRA
Focus: Organic synthesis, Catalysis, & Natural products.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Essential: Ph.D. in Life Sciences / Chemistry / M.Pharm OR M.Sc. with 3 years of research experience.
Age Limit: Max 40 years (as on 17 April 2026). Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women as per GOI norms.

Venue: CSIR-IHBT, Palampur – 176061, Himachal Pradesh.

Candidates must present themselves with the following documents:
- Duly filled Application Form (available on IHBT website).
- Recent Passport size photograph.
- Original Certificates and self-attested photocopies (10th to Ph.D.).
- Documentary evidence for Research Experience.
