JRF & Project Associate-I Vacancies | Short-Term Research Fellowship
The National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), New Delhi, is conducting a walk-in-interview for hiring one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Associate-I (PA-I) under the supervision of Dr. Senthil-Kumar Muthappa. These purely temporary positions are linked with advanced computational modeling and plant phenotyping research.
🎓 Position Breakdown & Eligibility
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) — 01 Post
Essential Qualification: Master's degree (Min 55% marks) in Natural Sciences / Agriculture / Life Sciences / Plant Biology / Botany.
Preferred Profiles: Preference will given to candidates with a background in Statistics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Machine Learning. Prior experience in developing predictive pipelines or handling image-based plant stress datasets is a major advantage.
2. Project Associate-I (PA-I) — 01 Post
Essential Qualification: Master's degree (Min 55% marks) in Natural Sciences / Agriculture / Life Sciences / Plant Biology / Botany. Max age limit is 35 years.
Preferred Profiles: Preference for candidates with an Agronomy or equivalent specialization. Experience in crop cultivation, plant trait assessment under field/pot conditions, and implementation of data using the SPROUT Facility is highly desired.
📝 Reporting & Walk-in Details
- Registration Window: From 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on June 8, 2026. Anyone reporting after 11:00 AM will not be allowed.
- Documents Required: Bring a duly filled application form, updated CV, Ph.D./Master's transcripts, publication copies, and all original credentials for verification.
- Tenure: Purely temporary position for an initial period of 1 year (extendable).
- Note: Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
