The Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, an autonomous institution supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India, invites applications for its prestigious Ph.D. program. Selected students will be enrolled at IISER Mohali, which will also award the final degree.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Educational background: M.Sc. / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. in Basic or Applied Sciences, Engineering, or related areas. Final semester/year students awaiting results may also apply.

• National Exams: Must have qualified at least ONE national level exam out of: GATE, CSIR/UGC-NET (JRF or LS), JEST, JGEEBILS (TIFR/NCBS), ICMR-JRF, DBT-JRF, GPAT, or be Project-Funded.

• DST INSPIRE: Eligible to apply on an ad-hoc basis, subject to successful activation of their fellowship.

🔬 Highlighted Research Group

Director Research Group (DRG) — Prof. Anindya Dutta

Student Background Needed: Chemistry, Physics, Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Biology.

Research Themes: Photosensitization of molecular catalysts by quantum dots, Ultrafast phenomena in nanomaterials, Time-resolved Fluorescence spectroscopy at the Bio-Nano interface.
