Amity University, Noida invites applications from qualified Indian nationals for two (02) temporary research positions of Project Assistant at the Amity Institute of Biotechnology (AIB). This sustainability project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Project Title: "Sustainable Microalgae–Yeast Biorefinery for Enhanced Lutein and Lipid Production Utilizing Coal-Fired Flue Gas CO2 Through a Waste-to-Wealth Strategy"

Position Title Project Assistant (02 Posts)

Monthly Fellowship ₹20,000/- per month (Consolidated)

Age Limit Maximum 28 Years

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification: M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biotechnology, Botany, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related academic discipline from a recognized University.
• Minimum Marks: Candidates must possess at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in their qualifying Master's degree.
• Desirable Experience:
  • Hands-on wet-lab experience in microalgae, yeast, or general microbial cultivation techniques.
  • Familiarity with algal biotechnology, bioprocess engineering, wastewater treatment, or biorefinery structures.
  • Experience with molecular biology protocols, analytical instrumentation, or biochemical characterization.
  • Good scientific manuscript writing and communication skills.

Tenure & Project Duration

The total project duration is 02 Years. The initial appointment will be for one year and is extendable dynamically based on the performance assessment of the candidate and the availability of sanctioned funding.
