Advertisement for the Recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a high-impact research project sanctioned by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India.

Project Title: "Deciphering Molecular and Physiological Mechanisms Underlying Flood Resilience in Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum)"

Position Vacant Junior Research Fellow (JRF) - 01 Post

Monthly Fellowship ₹37,000/- per month + HRA (As per DBT Norms)

Project Tenure Initially 12 months (Extendable up to 36 months)

Eligibility Criteria

• Essential Qualification:
  1. Master's degree with minimum 55% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in Biotechnology / Agricultural Biotechnology / Plant Biotechnology / Plant Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
  2. Must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET / GATE or any national-level examination conducted by Central Government departments/agencies (e.g., DBT, DST, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.).
• Desirable Experience:
  • Strong academic record.
  • Prior wet-lab experience in molecular biology protocols, plant handling, and microbial cultures.
  • Hands-on familiarity with tomato tissue culture techniques.
