Indian nationals are invited to apply for an online interview (via Google Meet) for a temporary position of Project Fellow under an elite research project at the School of Biological Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar. The project is funded by the Science and Technology Department, Government of Odisha.
Project Title: "Unlocking early diagnosis by discovery and screening of circulatory biomarkers from extracellular vesicles of gastric cancer patients with the goal develop a robust risk-stratification model"

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Candidates must possess an M.Sc. degree (with a minimum of 60% marks) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Physiology, Bioinformatics, or equivalent streams in Biosciences.
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Qualifying score in any National-level examination.
- Prior wet-lab experience in mammalian cell culture, western blotting, immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy, or H&E staining.
- Familiarity with data analysis using statistical software and preparing reports.
- Core Responsibilities: Maintaining lab records, optimizing laboratory techniques, and being open to collecting clinical samples from local hospitals.
Tenure & Tenure Details
The position is purely temporary for a period of one year. It is extendable based on satisfactory performance or until the completion of the project, whichever occurs earlier. Please note that this position is strictly co-terminus with the project and does not lead to a Ph.D. degree at NISER.
