Notification for Online Interview (Purely Contractual Post)
Applications are invited to attend an online interview for a temporary research position of Research Associate (RA) to work under a high-value DBT-funded molecular breeding project at ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.
Project Title: "Genomics-assisted breeding for development of Dry-DSR ready Basmati rice varieties"
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Essential Qualification:
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences / Agricultural Sciences / Genetics / Plant Breeding.
OR Possessing 3 years of research, teaching, and design/development experience after M.Tech (Life Sciences) with at least one (01) research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal. - Desirable Experience: Hands-on experience with molecular markers, marker-assisted breeding protocols, field phenotyping setup, and professional handling of field rice crops.
- Age Limit: Maximum 40 years for RA position.
- Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST and women candidates.
- Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable for OBC candidates.
Tenure & Project Duration
The post is purely temporary and will be filled on a contractual basis initially up to 31-03-2027. The tenure may be extended periodically subject to the candidate's performance evaluation until the final termination of the project. The position is co-terminus and confers no rights to permanent absorption at the institute.
