Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for three temporary openings at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB). These vacancies belong to a high-impact sustainability project centered around climate-smart agriculture and microbial engineering.

Position & Salary	Essential Qualifications	Core Job Description
Research Associate I 01 Position Emoluments: ₹ 58,000/- + HRA	Ph.D. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Plant Biology / Bioengineering / Agricultural Microbiology / Life Sciences. Must possess at least one (01) first-authored research paper in an SCI-indexed journal.	Engineering and functional characterization of photosynthetic bacterial strains for enhanced CO₂ capture. Conducting lab-scale and greenhouse/field experiments on soil fertility. Monitoring greenhouse gas flux (CO₂, CH₄) and tracking carbon sequestration efficiency. Assisting in project coordination and mentoring junior researchers.
Project Associate 01 Position Emoluments: ₹ 42,000/- + HRA	M.Sc. / M.Tech. in Life Sciences / Agricultural Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Bioengineering / Molecular Biology / Bioinformatics / Structural Biology / Genomics / Pharmacy. Requires two (02) years of research experience in R&D in industrial, academic, or scientific institutions.	Assist in engineering and optimizing bacterial strains. Perform real-time monitoring of CO₂ and CH₄ flux for MRV frameworks. Maintain and operate photobioreactors, optimize growth parameters, and scale up cultures. Analyze physiological, molecular, and gas datasets for carbon accounting.
Field Assistant 01 Position Emoluments: ₹ 20,000/- + HRA	Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. / B.Tech.) or Diploma in Agriculture / Life Sciences / Microbiology / Environmental Science or related fields.	Field Trial Management: Assist in layout, maintenance, and monitoring of experimental plots for crop productivity. Sample Collection: Collect soil, plant, and water samples; manage proper labeling, storage, and lab transport. Assist in field-based measurements and handling of sensors. Support day-to-day field logistics at different locations.

Selection Process & Timeline

The recruitment selection framework will consist of two distinct evaluation cycles:

• Round I: Online Interview
  Only filtered, shortlisted profiles will be notified via email on or before 27 June, 2026 (5:00 PM). The online video interview rounds will be executed on 29 June, 2026 starting at 10:00 AM.
• Round II: In-Person Interview at RCB Campus
  Candidates who successfully clear the Round I online screening will receive an invitation to join an in-person interaction with the selection committee at the main RCB Faridabad campus. The final selection balances performance metrics across both interview rounds.
