MACS - Agharkar Research Institute (ARI), Pune invites online applications from qualified Indian nationals for a temporary contract position of Young Professional I (YP-I) in the Biodiversity and Palaeobiology (Fungi) Group. This microbial taxonomy project is funded by the ICAR-AMAAS scheme.

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (1st Class) in Life Sciences, preferably in Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or related biological subject areas from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences (Botany/Biotechnology/Microbiology or related streams).
- Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on wet-lab experience in fungal isolation, culturing, preservation, fungal taxonomy, nomenclature, and systematics.
- Basic working knowledge of bioinformatics software tools for sequence alignment and phylogenetic tree construction.
- Age Limit: Between 21 years and 45 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. Standard upper age relaxations for OBC, SC, ST, and other categories apply per Government of India guidelines.
Application Fee Structure
A non-refundable application fee of ₹100/- is mandatory (except for SC/ST/Divyang/Women candidates). Fees must be processed online via SBI Collect using the following dashboard sequence:

Note: You must record your online payment receipt number and attach the generated receipt copy within the digital application framework.
How to Apply
- Compile your credentials, self-attested scanned certificates, recent passport-size photo, valid category certificates, and the online fee receipt.
- Visit the designated online application registration link: arijob.ourlib.in on or before 24 June, 2026.
- The list of shortlisted candidates approved to join the selection panels will be published on the main website. The online interviews are scheduled for 30 June, 2026 from 10:30 AM onwards. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi or English before the committee.
