The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is the organizing institute for GATE 2027. Who Can Apply?
- Candidates who are currently in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.
- Candidates who have already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts / Humanities.

Eligible candidates must register and fill out the application form strictly through the official GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS):
- Visit the official portal and register as a new user with email and mobile number.
- Fill in personal details, choose examination cities (Domestic centers only; No international centers this year), and select your test paper(s).
- Upload high-resolution scanned documents (Photo, Signature, Category certificate if applicable).
- Pay the online application fee before the deadline.
