The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Jodhpur (under ICMR & DHR, Govt. of India) invites applications from eligible postgraduate students for a structured 6-month Internship/Dissertation Training in Biomedical Research and Public Health.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification: Postgraduate students (M.Sc., MPH, M. Tech, etc.) from recognized Universities/Colleges in the following fields:

• Public Health & Allied Subjects: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, AI & Digital Health, Social & Behavioral Sciences, etc.
• Life Sciences: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and allied fields.

*Candidates who have completed their PG degree within the last two years are also eligible.

• Last Date to Apply: 27th July 2026
• Interview/Selection Process: Fourth Week of July 2026 (Online Mode)
• Result Declaration: Fourth Week of July 2026
• Programme Commencement: 01 August 2026

🔬 Programme Structure & Benefits

• Mentorship: Exclusive guidance under assigned ICMR mentors.
• Lecture Sessions & Journal Clubs: Weekly lectures by ICMR scientists and paper presentations to promote critical thinking.
• Research Publications: Candidates are encouraged to publish manuscripts with mentor guidance.
• Certification: Official ICMR-NIHR Certificate of Completion upon successful evaluation of the dissertation report. (Requires minimum 80% attendance).
• Note: No financial support, stipend, or hostel facility will be provided.

1. Duly filled Application Form (Annexure-I), endorsed/attested by the Head of the Institution/Department.
2. A brief Curriculum Vitae (CV).
3. A mandatory 500-word Statement of Purpose (SOP) indicating research interest and motivation.
4. Signed Undertaking (to be submitted before commencement).
