Amity University, Noida invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for a temporary research position of Project Assistant at the Amity Institute of Neuropsychology & Neurosciences (AINN). The project is funded by the prestigious Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
Project Title: "Pregnenolone-Induced Enhancement of Adult Neurogenesis and Neuron Restoration as Novel Disease-Modifying Approach in Parkinson’s Disease"
Eligibility Criteria & Experience
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences, including but not restricted to Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Physiology, Zoology, or Biomedical Sciences from a recognized university.
- Minimum Marks: Candidates must possess at least 55% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA in their Master's degree.
- Desirable Experience:
- Valid national-level qualification score in NET / GATE / CSIR / UGC / DBT / ICMR JRF.
- Hands-on experience in molecular biology and biochemistry protocols.
- Prior experience in animal (rat) handling or having studied core papers in any branch of Neuroscience will be highly preferred.

The selected candidate will have an exclusive opportunity to register for a Ph.D. degree at Amity University, Noida with reduced fee structures, provided they successfully qualify for the internal Amity University Entrance Test.
Tenure & Project Duration
The research project runs for a total duration of 36 months (till 02 June 2029). As per official ANRF administrative guidelines, the candidate will be appointed on an annual renewal basis. Extensions will be subject to annual performance reviews and remain strictly co-terminus with the project.
